Peter Aarosin is a director and shareholder in several companies that operate in the sea and road-based logistics, ports, storage, and warehousing sectors in the Humber estuary and beyond.
His business interests include being Managing Director of Danbrit Holdings and Danbrit Shipping Limited.
Peter is also a Director of East Trans, a contractual logistics company based at Stallingborough, near Immingham; industrial packing company Involvement Packing Limited; Port of Brightlingsea; Essex Cement Limited who presently mainly covers cement sales in the Southeast of the UK but is presently extending its cover to other geographical areas including supply to builders’ merchants.
Born in Denmark, Mr Aarosin has been based in East Yorkshire over 40 years. His companies have strong links to long term business conducted in Holland, Portugal, and Denmark.
Peter is past Chairman of Humber Bondholders, former President of the Goole Chamber of Commerce; former Director of the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce and former director of the Humber LEP.
Jo is the Managing Director of Sewell Estates, a Group of companies based in Yorkshire with a range of interests spanning construction, facilities management, property investment/development and consultancy services. Jo is also Founder and Managing Director of Shared Agenda, a Sewell Group company that provides estates advisory services to public and private sector customers across the UK. She joined the Sewell Group 14 years ago after a 14 year career in the public sector working in regeneration vehicles across the North of England and Scotland.
Jan Brumby has returned to the judging panel once again for the 2022 HullLive Business Awards. Currently the chief executive of Hull-based organisation For Entrepreneurs Only, Jan is a strong advocate of becoming your own business and launching a company. Her career history spans the financial, education and charity sectors, having worked with leading names including HSBC, the University of Hull and Young Enterprise. Jan was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion in 2006, for her tireless work promoting the region’s business community and its people. We are delighted to have Jan back on our judging panel for the awards for 2022.
Benjamin Davis-Rice is an entrepreneurial individual who is extremely motivated and driven professionally, growing several successful businesses across Hull & Yorkshire.
Previously a student of Hymers College, Leeds Beckett University and The University of Hull, Benjamin has gained degrees in Sports Coaching and a Master’s in Business Administration, whilst founding and directing Hull-based recruitment agency, Reach Recruitment.
Reach Recruitment was founded in 2015, and Benjamin has had a huge influence in expanding the business to a headcount of 18 people, as of July 2022 – a number that has increased significantly over the past two years.
As the Director of Reach Recruitment, Benjamin aims to expand nationally, whilst keeping a positive, supporting, and vibrant culture across the board. Furthermore, he is passionate about developing talent within the local area and supporting various charities, such as the Coyle Foundation.
